Ensuring an Accessible Discord Environment

At Pixels, we are committed to fostering inclusivity and continuously enhancing the accessibility of our products through our Accessibility Feedback Network. To help ensure that your Discord setup is as accommodating as possible when using Pixels for dice rolls, consider these general tips:

  • Screen Reader Compatibility:
    • Make sure that Discord’s app or desktop version is optimized for screen reader use. This can be done by navigating to Settings > Accessibility and adjusting relevant features.
  • Channel Organization:
    • Clearly label and organize channels to make navigation straightforward for all users. Group game-related channels together and use descriptive names for easy identification.
  • Notification Settings:
    • Customize notifications for specific channels so that participants using assistive tools receive timely updates.
  • Seamless Voice and Text Integration:
    • While Discord typically separates voice and text channel access, using webhooks to automate text outputs allows users to stay engaged in voice channels without needing to switch back and forth.

By integrating Pixels Dice with Discord, you can bring new levels of excitement and interaction to your game sessions. With a few proactive steps, you can also make your gaming environment more accessible, ensuring all players can fully participate.
